Most Cibolo roofs went on during the same building boom, so they are wearing out on the same schedule, and a free inspection tells you where yours stands.
Roofing Cibolo’s subdivisions is mostly shingle work on houses between ten and twenty-five years old: repairs where the first roof has started to slip, and full replacements once it has run its course. The city had about 3,000 residents in 2000 and an estimated 37,800 in 2024. Growth that fast means entire streets are now arriving at their first reroof together.
Cibolo is in Guadalupe County, east of Schertz and just north of Converse, with FM 78 and FM 1103 carrying most of its traffic and Interstate 10 a short drive south. The town takes its name from Cibolo Creek, which forms part of the boundary between Bexar and Guadalupe counties.
Converse, the next city over, took hail of 1.5 to 1.75 inches on September 11, 2026. We are not saying that storm damaged Cibolo roofs. Living this close to its path is still a fair reason to have yours checked, and the check costs nothing.
A builder roof past its fifteenth year usually starts leaking at the details first: around pipe boots, along step flashing, at a ridge where the wind lifted a few shingles. Plenty of those are a repair job, not a new roof. We trace the water and tell you which situation you have.
Curling edges, bald patches and a gutter full of granules mean the original shingles have nothing left to give. We strip the roof to the deck, check the boards underneath, and lay a new shingle roof. Past customers describe a quick job and a property left spotless.
The September 11 hail came down in Converse, immediately south of here. If you cannot tell whether any of it reached your street, we go up, check the shingles, vents and gutters, and describe plainly what is there.
When an inspection turns up storm damage, the next question is usually about insurance. Filing is your call. The claim is between you and your insurer, and we walk you through each stage before it happens so none of it catches you off guard.
What Twenty Years of Fast Growth Means for Cibolo Roofs
Builders keeping up with Cibolo’s pace often roofed to a budget, with entry-level shingles that were perfectly reasonable on a brand-new house. Two decades of Texas summers later, those same shingles are thinner and stiffer and crack more easily. On many blocks they are still the original roof.
Plenty of neighborhoods here have a homeowners association, and some of them approve shingle colors and styles before work starts. Get your association’s approved list ahead of time and have it handy at the inspection, so the roof you pick clears their review the first time.
Wind and Rain on Open Ground
Much of Cibolo sits on flat, open land between two interstates, and the newer streets have few mature trees to slow a gust down. Spring thunderstorms crossing that ground can peel shingle tabs back and push rain beneath them. A tab that lifts and settles again can conceal the problem until a later storm finds it.
Once a heavy storm passes, take a slow walk around the house and look up. Gaps in the shingle rows, roofing scraps on the lawn, a dented vent cap or a new brown ring on a ceiling are each worth a phone call.
Getting a Straight Answer on Your Roof
An inspection with us finishes with an explanation instead of a sales pitch. Richard Puigdomenech owns the company; his construction career runs a little past 20 years, and PCG Roofing dates to 2010.
When you want someone to look, call (210) 598-8556 or fill in the form, and Richard calls you back himself to pick a time.
Why Cibolo Families Call PCG Roofing
The owner picks up. The person explaining your roof is the same person responsible for the work on it.
A free inspection comes first. You learn what the roof needs before anyone brings up money.
Contracts written plainly. Customers say they understood each line before they put their name on it.
Rated A+ by the BBB. A record you can look up on the Better Business Bureau site before you ever call us.
That depends on the size and pitch of the roof, the shingle you choose and the state of the decking under the old layer. We do not guess at a number without seeing the house. After the free inspection you get a price for your own roof.
How can I tell if a roofing company is legitimate?
Look the company up with the Better Business Bureau, read reviews dated well before the latest storm, and insist on a contract you can follow. PCG Roofing has been in business since 2010.
Should I worry about the September 11 hail in Cibolo?
The storm hit east San Antonio, including Converse, Kirby, China Grove and St. Hedwig. We are not claiming damage in Cibolo, but the city borders Converse, so a free check is sensible if you have doubts.
Does insurance pay for a leaking roof?
Coverage comes down to the wording of your policy and whether the leak came from a storm or from age. The insurer settles that after its adjuster inspects. We can describe what the roof itself shows.
Can you take solar panels off and put them back?
Yes. We remove the panels, do the roof work and reinstall them, so you are not coordinating two companies.
Is Cibolo in Bexar County?
No. Cibolo is in Guadalupe County, whose seat is Seguin, though it sits close to the Bexar County line beside Converse and Schertz.
What Our Customers Say
Reviews left by Puigdomenech Contracting Group customers on Google, shown word for word.
Richard Puigdomenech blew away his formidable competition by offering a TEN year labor and material warranty , as well as a THIRTY year product warranty ! His attention to detail made sure everything flowed smoothly with workers , materials , insurance requirements , permits , etc. Despite many decades in the real estate rental business , he taught this old veteran quite a few critical things to know about roofing . His patient , focused manner allowed one to gain from his deep knowledge in layman's terms . Even his perfectly competitive workers aim to please . Thank GOD we picked you . My wife and I will be GRATEFUL FOR MANY MANY DECADES TO COME , and will eventually send a flotilla of investment properties your way for years to come
